Subscription Rates

UCU subscription rates are based on earnings and are applicable from 1 September to 31 August each year. Please ensure that you pay the correct subscription; failure to do so may disqualify you from receiving legal advice and other benefits. Part-time staff pay the subscription appropriate to their pro-rated salary. UCU members can claim 67% income tax relief on the total annual subscription paid.

Subscriptions include a 1% political fund contribution.  UCU’s political fund does not expressly contribute to political parties; all of our political fund income is used to promote the interests of UCU members, campaigning and lobbying irrespective of party political affiliation. Members, on an individual basis, can opt out of paying this contribution.
